- Muslim Journeys Bookshelf is a materials grant from NEH, which GRCC was honored to be one of the winners. The library has one year to utilize and create programming and other opportunities to take advantage of the grant.
- Responsibilities include marketing, outreach, and programming with GRCC departments, community interest groups, and other local institutions.

- Library specific digital initiatives that range from emerging technologies such as social networks and web platforms to piloting hardware and software devices and support.

- Marketing and outreach, mainly in social networking and online.
- Examples of work the ETWG has done:
- Mobile reference at Welcome Week, 2011: Using laptops, created a mobile reference area in Bostwick Commons, handed out library and related literature, provided reference to students and faculty
- Increase online presence: Facebook “likes” up 486% (29 “likes” in April 2011 to 141 likes in June 2012), blog viewership has doubled, and blog readership has also expanded
- Create book displays for Banned Books Week and Graphic Novel Month, complete with online marketing, blog posts, and college wide facilitation

- Monthly meetings, in which myself, the director of the library, the CIO of the IT department, and other IT department heads meet to discuss current and upcoming projects.

- Member, Institutional Repository workgroup (2012 – Present)
- Initiative between IT, Media Services, Print Services, and the Library for a cloud based product to begin preparatory work for a college wide institutional repository that will be launched in the next year.
- Partners with the library’s digital initiatives project of the same structure
- Co-wrote the metadata analysis for the project

- Newly formed, the Project Prioritization team’s purpose is for stakeholders across the campus to have a voice in how IT dictates the prioritization of projects that range from campus wide to department wide.
